Hello Friday! Here comes the weekend and for the f Hello Friday! Here comes the weekend and for the first time in a long time we can actually eat and drink out. Whoop woo!

📅 4th July - 1 space  It's a great day of hanging out with likeminded women, working on weightlifting technique, gymnastic movements and a fun workout or two. At the age of 44 she’s going from strength to strength. She secured herself 9th place in Europe in the CrossFit Quarterfinals with a solid world class performance.  She’s the most humble and lovely person you will meet and we cannot wait to watch you doing you for the rest of the season. You are a huge inspiration!
We hope many of you enjoyed your first day back in We hope many of you enjoyed your first day back in the gym yesterday. Just remember to find your groove first and focus on moving well before you start adding weights and intensity.
Do you ever feel that you’ll never be lean, stro Do you ever feel that you’ll never be lean, strong, fit, or healthy enough? That there’s always somebody “better” than you?  Congratulations, you are human. We all do that. It’s human nature to compare ourselves to others as a way to gauge our success.  However, if we constantly compare ourselves to others, how can we ever feel good about our bodies?  Here are some simple steps to help you feel good about yourself:  ☝🏻FOCUS ON ACTIONS, NOT OUTCOMES  Rather than focusing on the end result, concentrate on completing daily actions that’ll help you get closer towards being fitter, stronger, leaner, faster, whatever it is that you desire  ✌🏻 PUT THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. 
It’s important to remind ourselves what really matters in life. That way we can dilute these negative feelings, and make them less powerful.  🤟🏻 LOOK OUT FOR COMPARISON TRIGGERS
This could be anything from following someone on social media to joining a competitions training in the gym. Anything that makes you feel inadequate or that you are not doing enough will fall to this category.  You can either eliminate this trigger where possible, or having an awareness alone could help you realise what is going on and you can apply the perspective strategy.

About Barbelles

Barbelles Ladies Only Training brings women together of all fitness levels and backgrounds to train and enjoy functional fitness style workouts in events, training days and training camps throughout the year.

How it all started

Barbelles started with an idea of getting some ladies together to train with us for the day. We loved our training sessions and felt that there are so many other women who’d love this too. That’s when Barbelles Training was born.
